We leave Luang Prabang at 08:00 a.m. and travel for 3½ hours north to Nongkhiaw by the local minivan. Once in Nong Khiaw you will meet the local guide. After lunch we will drive you 12 Km East to get to the starting point, where we start to trek.
The trail gives us the chance to hear and maybe see wildlife in the jungle (around 2 h). At this point we will reach our bamboo lodge where we will sleep.
The rest of the day will be spent exploring the surrounding forest, the old hospital used in the Indochina war and to relax while enjoying the wonderful lanscape of the low forest valley. In the evening – beset with the mysterious sounds of the jungle – we gather at an open fire for a dinner with delicious grill delights and chats about wonderful travel experiences before finally retiring to our bed.
Breakfast before ziplining. To begin with, you will receive instructions about how to zipline and safety advice. After that, we will enjoy the sensation of being weightless in our 5 Zip-lines through the jungle (up to 340 meters long). Before stopping for lunch we have some new challenges with abseiling, sky-high walk, V rope-bridges and a rope bridge and nets (up to 150 m long and around 65 m high).
After this, our Tarzan swing. Then the most intense with our longest, fastest and most exhilarating Zip-line (400 meters long) followed by three more flights through the trees. Finally, we will walk across bamboo bridges, pass through rice paddies and enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding mountainous landscape (approx. 40 mins) and get back to Nong Khiaw for lunch before returning to Luang Prabang with our local minivan.
